Your print isn’t a solid block. It has solid outer walls and a lattice inside, and infill is how much of that inside is filled. Higher infill means a stronger, heavier print that uses more material and takes longer — so it costs more. 20% · Everyday: The usual choice: sturdy enough for most parts, good value.

How is the estimate worked out?

We approximate a 1.2 mm outer shell, your selected infill and 15% extra material for supports, plus 8% waste. Material weight and machine time use the store’s configured rates. A ±25% range allows for variation; the minimum job price still applies. When you order we re-check it with our slicer, which is where the final quote comes from. Complex, overlapping or self-intersecting models need manual review.

    Choose a material, infill and quantity — the rest is tucked away unless you need it. Published store rates power the estimate.

    Place your order

    Choose delivery or studio collection and place the order. We review the model, confirm your quote for you to approve, then print it — and you can follow every step on your tracking page.

Which model files can I upload?

STL (binary or ASCII), OBJ, STEP and STP files up to 10 MB and 100,000 triangles. STEP/STP are tessellated in your browser, so large assemblies take a little longer. Choose the correct units after uploading, because STL and OBJ do not store them.

Is this a final quote?

No. It’s an approximate range based on model geometry and the store’s published rates. Actual supports, orientation, print settings and finishing can change the final price. Shipping and taxes are not included.

What is infill, and why does it change the price?

A print is not a solid block: it has solid outer walls with a lattice inside. Infill is how much of that inside is filled. 10% is light and good for display pieces; 20% suits most everyday parts; 100% is completely solid and strongest. More infill means more plastic and more machine time, so the price goes up with it.

Where does my uploaded model go?

While you are estimating it stays on your device — the browser reads it for the preview and price. It is only uploaded when you place an order, and then it is stored privately for our workshop and is never published on the site.

Can I collect my print instead of having it delivered?

Yes. Choose “Collect from the studio” when you place the order and pick a counter. Collection is free, and we send you a short code to quote when your print is packed and waiting. Delivery is charged at the store’s usual rate and is free above the free-delivery threshold.

How do I know where my print has got to?

Every order gets its own tracking page showing which step it is on — in the queue, printing, finishing, then out for delivery or ready to collect. The link works without signing in, and orders also appear on your account page if you have one.

Why can’t I see a price?

The store needs to publish its printing rates before prices appear. A model with open edges, inconsistent faces or dimensions outside the supported range also needs fixing before an estimate can be calculated.

Does saving an estimate place an order?

No. It downloads a summary for your reference. Placing the order is the next step: that reaches the studio and holds your place in the queue, but nothing is printed or charged until we confirm a quote and you approve it.

What happens after I place an order?

Your order moves through review, a confirmed quote you approve, the print queue, printing, finishing and a quality check — then out for delivery, or onto the shelf with a collection code if you chose studio pickup. Every step appears on your tracking page, which works whether or not you have an account.
